Join us as we take you on an enthralling journey of Jordan where you see some of the finest ruins of the Roman civilization. See gladiators and coliseums. Meet with Bedouins and float on the Dead Sea. Explore the treasury house in Petra and marvel at a city hewn from rock.

Day 01: Fly India - Jordan
Welcome to the capital city of the Hashemite Kingdom.

On arrival at Queen Alia International Airport, you will meet our mentor who will assist you with all the immigration formalities and customs. Soon, you will be transferred to your hotel in Amman to freshen up and acclimatize.

This afternoon, after lunch at the famous Hashem Restaurant, commence a city tour of Amman. The tour will take you to various parts of the city including the museum, the Citadel, the amphitheater, the Souks and the modern part of town. You will get to explore some of Amman’s historical wonders of which you probably might have learnt in your history books.

Enjoy an Indian vegetarian / non-vegetarian dinner before retiring for the night.

Day 02: Jerash & Ajloun
After breakfast at your hotel, you will transfer to the city of a thousand columns – Jerash (ancient Gerasa).

We start by exploring the hidden beauty of this Greco-Roman site, and saunter along the actual ancient Roman streets that run throughout the city. Later in the day, we will visit the hippodrome – a Greek stadium for horse and chariot racing, to view the famous Roman Race.

A living testimony to its majestic past, this show includes a Roman army performance, gladiator fights, and a chariot race at the authentic locale, the monumental hippodrome of the ancient city of Jerash. In addition to being unique and exciting, this show offers you a first hand experience of the Roman Army, Gladiators and Chariot Racing performances in a genuine Roman setting.

After visiting Jerash, we proceed to the Saracen Castle at Ajloun. This 12th century castle was built by Saladin in his successful campaign to drive the Crusaders from Jordan in 1189 and is an outstanding example of Arab/Islamic military architecture.

We then proceed to Ajloun Nature Reserve. Located in the Ajloun highlands, this place consists of Mediterranean-like hill country, dominated by open woodlands of Oak and Pistachio trees. These trees have long been important to local people for their wood, scenic beauty, and very often for medicine and food.

Enjoy delicious dinner at Tawahin El Hawa Restaurant, after which we proceed back to our hotel in Amman.

Day 03: Amman
After breakfast this morning, you will proceed to a school for an interaction with the local students. Here you will also learn how to paint mosaics in the ancient Byzantine style. Students will be divided in groups for this activity. Also, a lecture on local art will be given by professional artists.

After a tiring day full of activities, you will proceed back to your hotel in Amman.

Enjoy an Indian vegetarian / non-vegetarian dinner before retiring for the night.

Day 04: Mt. Nebo & Madaba
After breakfast at your hotel, we journey south along the King’s highway for our next destination - Mount Nebo, believed to be the spot from where Moses first saw the Holy Land and where he was subsequently buried.

At Mt. Nebo, enjoy the breathtaking views of the northern shores of the Dead Sea, the Promised Land, the Mount of Olives, the dark strip of the Jordan River and Jericho which is on the opposite bank.

Next, we visit Madaba, the fantastic city of mosaics from the Byzantine era, to see the famous 6th century map of the Holy Land in the Greek Orthodox Church.

With two million pieces of colored stone, the map depicts hills and valleys, villages and towns in Palestine and the Nile Delta. Learn exciting facts about the physical layout of Jerusalem after its destruction and rebuilding in 70 CE.

Later, you will visit the exciting Madaba Archaeological Park. A visit to this park will give you fascinating insights about the last remnant of Mosaics that date back from 5th to 7th century B.C.

You then proceed to Mosaics School. Here, you will find out how the Jordanians preserve and restore the ancient mosaics, found in so many places in Jordan, especially on the Madaba Plateau.

We later proceed to Petra.

Day 05: Petra
After breakfast, you will depart your hotel for a full day tour of Petra, a Jordanian national treasure and also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Spend the day exploring the magnificently mysterious rock-carved rose red city of Petra. Various walks and climbs reveal literally hundreds of buildings, tombs, baths, funerary halls, temples, arched gateways, colonnaded streets and haunting rock drawings - as well as a 3000 seat open air amphitheatre circa, a gigantic first century Monastery and a modern archeological museum.

After lunch at the famous Basin Restaurant, continue with your voyage of discovery at Petra by visiting Siq next.

Enclosed by walls that stand between 91-182 meters in height, Siq is the main entrance to the ancient city of Petra in southern Jordan. Learn about how this natural geological fault was produced by tectonic forces and worn smooth by water erosion.

Next we visit one of the most elegant remains of antiquity, Al Khazneh. It is nearly 140 feet high and was carved from the mountain’s solid rock in the First century B.C. Film buffs will recognize it from the final scenes of the movie “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.

After this tour, we head back to our hotel in Petra.

Enjoy hot and delicious dinner at your hotel before retiring for the night.

Day 06: Wadi Rum
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart Petra to visit the desolate Wadi Rum Nature Reserve. It is not everyday that you get to see one of the most spectacular desert landscapes in the world that has rolling sand dunes and mountains of sandstones. Its mystery and charm are sure to captivate you as it has many visitors before.

After lunch, get ready to go on an exciting journey with the local Bedouins in their 4*4 jeeps to the great mountain of Al Khazali. On this jeep tour, you can discover clues from the antiquity carved on the mountains and the fallen boulder, and the vestiges of human activity over several thousand years. This journey also gives you an opportunity to interact with local Bedouins and get to know interesting facts about the nomads and the culture of Bedouins in the deserts of Jordan.

After the tour, you will transfer to your hotel at the Dead Sea.

Day 07: Dead Sea - Amman - India
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel on the banks of the Dead Sea. Spend the entire morning at leisure at the enthralling Dead Sea - swim in the salty waters of this lowest spot on the earth. Experience the ultimate sensation of trying to swim, while you can actually only float!

Late this afternoon after lunch, you will be transferred to Queen Alia International Airport for your departure back home, with a greater understanding about this ancient Arab Kingdom and with happy memories spent learning with friends.
